Celebrity Exercise Tips

Celebrity diet

We've all wondered how supermodels and celebrities get back into such amazing shape after childbirth or before a big career relaunch. Well here are some of our favorite celebrity exercise tips to give you some inspiration!

Celebrities of course have options available to them that we can only dream of - personal trainers, private gyms, nutritionists etc etc. But they can still give us some useful tips on how to work out.

celebrity weightMadonna
Madonna is pushing 50, yet she's one of the most buffed-up celebrities you're likely to see. She follows a rigorous 6-day-a-week exercise regime to stay in shape for those energetic live shows.

Thanks to her new life in the English countryside, Madonna can do more exercise outside now than she could ever have done in New York City. She said recently, "I mix it up - Pilates, yoga. I do it six days a week. Actually, Sunday is horse riding. There is no such thing as a day off." celebrity weight

But Madonna's real secret is her Power Plate machine (pictured, right). This vibrating 'miracle machine' claims to offer the benefits of an hour-long workout in just 15 minutes!

The only problem? It'll set you back $15000. However, Power Plates are starting to be seen in some gyms now.

celebrity weightDenise Richards
Losing that post-natal baby weight is one of the hardest things you'll ever do, but Denise Richards lost 30 pounds in 4 months after having her second child. Denise got up at 5am every morning and went to the gym with her personal trainer to lift weights and do cardio.

Denise proves it - there's nothing unusual about the diets or exercise regimes of most of these celebs, they just have incredible motivation to pull it off.

celebrity weightReese Witherspoon
Everyone's favorite girl-next-door, Reese is another one of those celebrity moms who get back in shape so fast.

Reese stayed away from the hard workouts, enrolling instead in Kundalini Yoga classes with Gurmukh, an internationally renowned Yoga teacher.

It only took Reese 8 weeks to get back into movie star shape. She also makes sure to eat healthy and gets plenty of outdoor exercise and walking when she can.

celebrity weightUma Thurman
When Uma lost her baby weight, she was lucky enough to have an exercise plan ready made for her. The 'Kill Bill' star actually used the sword-fighting and martial arts training that she picked up in her movie with Quentin Tarantino.

Thanks to this high energy, aggressive workout, Uma was able to lose 25lbs in just 6 weeks. For the rest of us, sword-fighting is not usually an option offered by our local gym! Kick boxing classes are a good substitute though.

Britney Spears
Britney put on weight during her pregnancy, but soon after the birth, Britney cut out all the Southern fried food that she was brought up on and instead ate meals full of vegetables and low calorie leafy greens.

The best exercise tip that Britney can give us though, is dancing. Britney's body transforms every time she goes on tour, as her energetic dance routines bounce her back into shape.

Fergie
I'm sure most of you have noticed Fergie's recent body transformation. She has achieved it with hard work and dedication. Four times a week she spends an hour on a varied exercise routine that includes running 2-3 miles, lifting light weights and doing lunges and crunches.

Evangeline Lilly
Evangeline keeps her daily exercise routine interesting by mixing it up with running, yoga, Pilates, dance, weights, scuba diving, and surfing. Her 2 top health tips? Get 8 hours of sleep and drink plenty of water.
