Diet Tips Of The Day

#1 - A thirsty body sometimes thinks it is hungry. When you get a hunger pang, try a glass of water first!

#2 - Take a photo of yourself in a bikini every week to measure your progress (and keep you motivated!). This is a favorite trick of Heidi Klum - find out more on our celebrity page www.modeldietplan.com/celebrity.htm

Celebrity Diet Focus

- Beyonce's Maple Syrup Diet

Beyonce lost 20 pounds for her latest movie role by living on 'water, cayenne pepper and maple syrup for 14 days'. This is a type of cleansing diet, but we certainly wouldn't recommend it for everyone. Beyonce says that she was under medical supervision for the duration of the diet, a sensible move because there is little nutritional value in maple syrup! For healthier Cleansing ideas check out www.modeldietplan.com/cleansing.htm.

- Oprah to release her own Diet book

Thats right, America's most famous dieter is finally going to spill the beans on her struggle with her weight. The book is to be released in January (the post-Christmas 'Diet Season'). Apparently Oprah's publishers have paid her more than $12 million dollars in advance! We're sure she'll be worth every cent though. More on Oprah and other famous dieters here - www.modeldietplan.com/celebrity.htm.

- Carmen Electra to promote new Diet Pill

Carmen Electra, she of the Striptease workout, is now official spokesperson for the new NV Diet Pill. Advertised as the 'First Rapid Weight Loss Beauty Pill', it contains Hoodia Gordonii, Green Tea extract and Theobromine. While the effects of Hoodia and Theobromine are still in dispute, Green Tea is one of our favorite diet tools - check out www.modeldietplan.com/greentea.htm.

Diets in the News

- Sleep more to lose weight!

I've always thought that reducing stress and getting a good sleep were an important part of any diet. Well now a new study agrees!
Dr Sanjay Patel found in a recent study that women who slept less than 5 hours a night were 32% more likely to gain a significant amount of weight (33lbs or more) than women who slept 7 hours a night.
So there you have it - the perfect excuse for that sleep-in on a Sunday morning!

- Protein triggers a weight-loss hormone

So it seems that Mr Atkins had it right all along - British researchers have discovered that eating protein triggers the body to produce a natural weight-loss hormone! Known as PYY, the hormone reduces hunger. The researchers found that subjects with high-protein diets were producing more of the hormone. Find out more on www.modeldietplan.com/atkins.htm.
